The Blain Companies is a heavy highway construction company with affiliated quarry companies. Founded in 1945 by Mr. William “Bill” Blain and Mrs. Maude Blain, the company is now in its third generation of ownership. The company was first started in Mount Olive, Mississippi where the home office still operates today.
The company’s primary operation is Heavy Highway construction with specific emphasis in producing and laying asphalt and soil cement / lime stabilization. Licensed in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida and Arkansas, The Blain companies are geared to any heavy highway construction job. With five asphalt plants, of which three are mobile, we can move to any site within the five state area.
In addition to the construction company, The Blain companies’ also owns and operates several quarry operations. Blain Sand and Gravel is one operation that has plants in Crystal Springs and Natchez Mississippi. Bacco Materials is another operation that has locations in Columbus Mississippi. Both of these companies mine the raw material and produce a number of washed or processed materials.
